The mission and focus of Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) is to improve the quality of life for our service members and their families by providing reliable, high quality programs and services that promote healthy lifestyles and improve morale, unit and personal readiness and retention.

Unit, Personal & Family Readiness Program (UPFRP) and Installation Volunteer Program

The Unit, Personal, & Family Readiness Program (MCO 1754.9B) educates and empowers Marines, Sailors, and family members through training and workshops to achieve and maintain readiness and resiliency in response to mission, life, and career events unique to the military lifestyle. This is achieved through the UPFRP tenets: official communication, readiness & resource support, deployment support, and volunteer management.

Readiness & Deployment Support Program

Readiness for wartime deployment is a major challenge to even the strongest family. R&DS is here to help families stay strong throughout the deployment cycle with Kids-N-Deployment workshops, Return & Reunion workshops and more. This program offers assistance to units by connecting unit family readiness officers and commands, assisting with family readiness issues and delivering pre, during and post-deployment presentations.

LifeSkills Training Program

The LifeSkills Training & Education Program facilitates workshops that offer opportunities for personal and professional growth, emphasizing skill building in areas such as leadership, communication, resilience, relationship effectiveness and overall readiness. Every workshop offers an open and highly interactive atmosphere, where participants are in the driver’s seat. Classes are geared toward every demographic, catering to those who are single, married, or anywhere in between. With curriculum designed by Best Selling authors and highly acclaimed personal development groups, these workshops can generate results that impact every aspect of a participant’s life.

Lifestyle, Insights, Networking, Knowledge & Skills (L.I.N.K.S.)

Lifestyle, Insights, Networking, Knowledge & Skills (L.I.N.K.S.) is an official Marine Corps program which helps families connect to the Corps.   The Marine Corps has expanded its definition of family, to include the family Marines were born into, sworn into, and married into. The L.I.N.K.S. program now offers multiple classes to accommodate all aspects of a Marine’s family: L.I.N.K.S. for Spouses, L.I.N.K.S. for Teens, L.I.N.K.S. for School-Age Kids, L.I.N.K.S. for Marines, and L.I.N.K.S. for Marine Parents and Extended Family.
