The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center and Marine Corps Community Services is very excited to open our gates and host the Twentynine Palms Community Fourth of July Celebration with a huge fireworks show, entertainment and food! We would just like to thank the City of Twentynine Palms for allowing us to host this open gate event for the first time in 8 years. Going forward, we plan to share this annual celebration and take turns hosting everyone in our amazing community every other year!
This family-friendly event will feature balloon artists, face painters, obstacle courses, inflatable games, water attractions, live music (featuring the band Otherwise) and food and beer concessions available.
QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE
Is the event open to the public and is it free? Yes.
Is there seating available? The main event will be on the lawn at our beautiful, new Victory Field. We recommend that you bring chairs and/or blankets.
Do I need a ticket? No. Everyone (10 years old and older) will be given a wristband to identify you have cleared security and can attend the event. Wristbands are required to enter the event.
How do I get Base access? The Main Gate located on Adobe Road is the ONLY gate that will open to the general public beginning at 3pm (follow signs and utilize the right lane if you do not have base access). All guests without base access should be prepared to show proper issued government/state ID (valid driver’s license or state ID). Those with no base access will be guided to a fenced parking area where you will park, exit your vehicle and proceed to designated tents to be searched, receive a wristband and be shuttled to the event. Anyone arriving prior to 3pm without a valid pass or DoD credentials will not be granted installation access without a sponsor present.
Those with base access will be searched at the entrance to the event. We recommend that you use either the Condor or Ocotillo gate for easier/faster access.
What is the inclement weather plan? In case of inclement weather, only the fireworks will be rescheduled for July 5 at 8:30pm. This event will not be open to the general public.
Prohibited Items: The following items will not be permitted at the event. All items listed below will be confiscated.
• Personal fireworks (including sparklers)
• Chem lights
• Outside food and beverages to include alcohol
• Glass containers
• Controlled illegal substances to include medicinal/recreational Marijuana and their associated paraphernalia
• Weapons (including knives)
• Tasers, Stun guns & Mace or Pepper Spray
• Tents including shade tents over 4’
• Drones or UAV's (unmanned aerial vehicle)
• Professional cameras with removable lenses
• Laser pointers, strobe lights and noisemakers
• Professional video or audio recording devices
• Bags LARGER than a standard backpack- 12x12in.
• Animals or pets. Verified, registered service animals as defined by the Americans with Disability Act are permitted
What do you recommend we bring? Make sure you create a checklist ahead of arrival and double check it prior to entering the event. Re-entry will be time consuming.

Will there be ATMs at the venue? Yes
Will there be food & beverage available for purchase? Yes. A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Will there be restroom facilities? There will be port-o-letts and Victory Field park bathrooms available.
Can I bring my pet? No pets allowed. Only verified, registered service animals as defined by the Americans Disability Act are permitted.
Security: For your protection, security checkpoints will be at all entrances to Victory Field. Those with base access will be searched by designated personnel as well as their bags and then be provided a wristband for entry into the event.
How do I get there? You may access the event using the Main Gate located on Adobe Road. Active Duty Personnel, Family Members, Retirees and DoD Employees (All with base access) are encouraged to use the Condor and Ocotillo Gates.
Will there be parking? Parking will be available at the designated Main Gate Parking Lot for those that do not have base access. Those with base access can park in any available parking locations aboard the Combat Center on a first come, first served basis. No street side parking will be permitted.
Will there be transportation from the Main Gate parking lot? Yes. A free shuttle service will transport guests from the Main Gate parking lot location (only) to and from the event site at Victory Field (no walking). We anticipate a large crowd at this celebration and strongly encourage everyone to carpool and arrive early.
